Integration is equivalent to finding the area under a curve

The numbers a and b are called limits, and we say, “find the area by integratingbetween and”. Example: Find the shaded area for the graphshown.

Remember that when we integration any polynomial exceptwe ALWAYS add one to the power and divide by the new power.
